Assistant Project Manager, WWF Elephant Project,  Nam Pouy National Protected Area (NPA), Xayabouly Province, Lao PDR  

Responsible:  

-         Assist Nam Pouy Project manager in implementing field activities, including research, planning training reporting, monitoring, evaluation and analysis of project, collection of data in the field, technical report writing and management of data.

-         Assist project manager to coordinate activities with DAFO, PAFO and other government agencies and communities inside/around Nam pouy NPA.

-         Assist with organization and facilitation of workshops and trainings.

-         Conduct field surveys and camera trap survey in Nam Pouy NPA.

-         Manage and entry data from the patrolling to MIST GIS data base and analysis.

-         Mapping of all human activities and elephants habitat in Nam Pouy NPA. 

2012 to Present:

Position: Technical Staff of Wildlife and Aquatic Management, Department of Forest Resource Management, Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment, Government of Lao PDR.   

Responsible:  

-      Coordinate drafting of project proposal and permission documents.

-      Oversee communications with provincial authorities and project operations.

-      Assist in national wildlife surveys.

-      Provide technical support and assist in training programs for Lao National Protected Area staff in wildlife survey and GIS techniques.

-      Assist the Biodiversity Conservation Corridors Project (BCC), with SMART* data quality control within a number of National Protected Areas in Southern Lao PDR. *Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool – a tool used to standardize data collection by ranger patrols.
